Platform reliability and organizer control
Evaluate how much control you have over ticket types, prices, sale windows, inventory, and buyer communication. Platforms that handle event discovery (a public marketplace with search and category browsing) reduce the promotion work for organizers without paid advertising.
Consider what happens when something goes wrong: refund processing, order disputes, payment verification delays, and support response times. For a paid event, these scenarios will arise. A platform with organizer-facing tools for handling orders and refunds is more valuable than one that only manages initial sales.
