Confirm what changed
A cancellation, a date change and a venue change are different situations. Check the organizer’s official announcement and the event page rather than relying on a forwarded message. Record the original date, the announced change and your order reference so the booking can be identified correctly.
Do not discard your confirmation or publish your QR code when asking for help. Keep the event name, ticket type and quantity available. If you receive conflicting instructions, ask BuyTicket support or the organizer to confirm which announcement applies to your booking.
Read the policy that applies to your booking
Review the event terms and any cancellation or refund instructions included in the announcement. Check whether tickets remain valid for a new date, whether an action is required and whether a request deadline is stated. This guide does not set a refund entitlement, fee or processing deadline; those details need confirmation for the particular event.
If a refund option is offered, use the official request process and keep its acknowledgement. A submitted request, an approved refund and a completed payment reversal are separate stages. Ask for the current stage and reference if the status is unclear.
Keep the follow-up practical
Send one clear support message containing the order reference, event name, announcement and requested clarification. Keep replies together. Avoid sending passwords, one-time codes or full card details, and be cautious of unsolicited messages asking for an extra payment to release a refund.
Before travelling to a replacement date or venue, check the latest confirmed instructions again. Transport or accommodation arrangements may have their own terms and are not automatically changed by an event-ticket update.
